Bust out your steel-souled shoes, it's a LEGO convention – Nebraska's Brick Days 2026 – and it's is taking over the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs this weekend! Plus, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in La Vista is channeling creature features and screening a classic Godzilla film – "Mechazilla vs. Godzilla" (1975); and comedian-actor Nate Bargatze is in Omaha and is set to perform this week at the CHI Health Center.
Meanwhile, Matt Whipkey and The Movies are back – yes, The Movies! And they've got a new batch of Midwest-rooted garage rock and a new album that they're releasing this weekend with a show at Barnato in Village Pointe.
